UNDATED – Medical providers across the country are running low on saline IV fluid.
Saline is a clear liquid used in a multitude of ways, including those going through surgery, chemotherapy, dialysis, and other emergency situations.
One of the biggest manufacturers of the medical liquid had to close their doors after Hurricane Helene destroyed their ability to produce IV saline.
Due to the shortage, many non critical surgeries and other appointments had to be rescheduled to ration the supplies.
Experts expect everything to return to normal by the end of the year.
