KNOX DALE – A charity group is challenging you to an extensive workout, honoring the memory of a woman who died too young.
The B.E.E. Tough Charity Foundation was founded by Brenda Emery, mother of Brooke Emery who died from cardiac arrest while at a sporting event.
This Friday, the group is challenging you to perform a rigorous workout in honor of Brooke’s birthday.
“She really believed in iron sharpens iron, where people helping other people just makes the world a better place,“ explained Emery. “So we’re trying to do things to carry that on.”
Everything kicks off at the Knoxdale Mt Pleasant Cemetery this Friday at 7:30pm where lanterns, sparklers, and other illuminations light up the night in honor of a life gone too soon.
The group is also hosting a charity workout this Friday and Saturday to collect shoes, boots or sneakers for any student that needs them. More information can be found on their website.
