DUBOIS – The Sunny106 Make-A-Wish campaign has concluded with a grand total of $113,900 dollars raised over a five day period.
The amount raised by our area this year will grant 22 wishes for children who need it.
We heard from Lacy Bair, regional manager for Make-A-Wish Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia, who said that she is always astounded by the generosity of this area.
“This week has been amazing,” explained Bair. “It is always such a great week to be over here, I love coming over here. Everybody in the community, all of the clubs, the organizations, the individuals, the schools, everybody that makes this week possible. It’s always so humbling to be here, it’s such a great way to kick off the holiday season, and how much this area supports Make-A-Wish and our mission. And without them we truly cannot grant these wishes for these children.”
Through fundraising and donations, the Make-A-Wish campaign is able to grant life-changing wishes for children between the ages of 2.5 to 18 facing chronic illness.
