Giving Back: Every Donation Matters

DuBois – The Make-A-Wish campaign is making a stop in DuBois this week, and they are asking for your donations.

The Make-A-Wish “Light Up a Child’s Life” campaign aims to give children between the ages of 2 and a half through 18 facing chronic illnesses life-changing wishes.

Regional Manager for Make-A-Wish, Lacy Bair, assures us that your contributions matter, even in the face of massive donations.

“I don’t ever want anybody to think that your $5 dollar donation doesn’t matter,“ explained Bair. “We can’t do what we do in granting these wishes for these kids without your donation. When you donate, you are not donating to pay for my salary, or the CEO’s salary, the money is going to grant wishes.”

You can make monetary donations, or bring a basket for Friday afternoon’s auction anytime this week at the Sunny106 station on West Long Avenue.
