PUNXSUTAWNEY – A Mercer County woman is behind bars after allegedly making multiple fraudulent bank transactions in multiple states.
On October first 41 year-old Lashawn Swift was making a seemingly normal bank transaction at Farmer’s National Bank in Punxsutawney. Staff at the bank noticed that Swift was on a “be on the lookout” list for a woman attempting to withdraw money using false identification.
While Swift was attempting to make a withdrawal under Penny Pavelko from Ohio, staff quickly contacted the authorities.
It was later determined that she was wanted in multiple states including Denver and Colorado, with multiple warrants out of Colorado and Pennsylvania.
She is currently being held in the Jefferson County Jail awaiting an October 23rd preliminary hearing.
