BROOKVILLE – For almost 70 years, the Brookville community alongside area students are showcasing their art skills for the Borough.

If you travel through Downtown Brookville, you may notice numerous hand painted window decorations scattered along storefronts.

We spoke to two seniors, Cadence Suhan and Elly Neiswonger , who have helped keep this tradition alive for two years at this point.

“I think the people that live in Brookville just enjoy seeing it on their way down Main Street,” explained Neiswonger. “And I think it makes them happy.”

“I know a lot of the businesses always want their windows painted, so I think between the community and businesses here, they all love seeing the kid’s creativity,” said Suhan.

You will have the opportunity to vote on your favorite paintings, you can submit your opinions at the Brookville YMCA,  Fox’s Pizza, and Chamber of Commerce.
