Brookville Stolen Vehicle Found Over 100 Miles Away

BROOKVILLE – A Juvenile is facing multiple charges after allegedly stealing a vehicle with a firearm inside in early September.

Brookville Police initially responded to reports of a stolen vehicle on September 8th. Officers then learned that a Jeep Patriot with a firearm inside was allegedly stolen.

Eight days later, the 16 year-old suspect, who was also reported as a runaway, was caught in Somerset Pa.

When being transported to a juvenile detention center, the minor allegedly told authorities that he stole the jeep and drove to a Somerset Sheetz, where he abandoned the vehicle.

State Troopers from Greensburg recovered the vehicle and firearm.
