SABULA – A new venture in Sabula held a soft opening over the weekend, giving a first time look into what the business has to offer for the Holiday shopping season.

Sabula General Store & Mercantile located at the old Sabula Fire Hall has begun operations, selling a variety of holiday themed items and a kitchen café area.

As the owner of Sabula General Store Hayes Weber says, this is only the beginning.

“We are opening full swing in hopefully mid 2025 with a full convenience selection,” explained Weber. “A fully functional kitchen, gift shop items, skin and body bar, and all kinds of fun stuff. But right now we’re just trying to make use of what we have for the space while we wait on renovations.”

Future plans for the store include a section for local vendors to sell their handmade products, and a new addition to be built for Auto Undertaker to move operations to the Sabula area.

The pop up shop will be open on Fridays and Saturdays during the Holiday season.
