HARRISBURG – The annual Pennsylvania Farm Show is underway.
The 2024 edition of the Farm Show at the Farm Show Complex and Expo Center just outside of Harrisburg will continue through January 13th.
On Wednesday, this year’s butter sculpture was unveiled. It is a 1,000-pound diorama titled, A Table for All: Pennsylvania Dairy Connects Communities. The sculpture was designed to celebrate the 20th anniversary of PA Preferred, Pennsylvania’s statewide brand for locally grown and made agricultural products. Urban and rural Pennsylvanians are depicted in the butter sculpture connecting around a meal of local food against a backdrop of a city scape and farm skyline.
The Pennsylvania Farm Show is the largest indoor agricultural expo in the United States. It features nearly 6,000 animals, 12,000-plus competitive events and exhibits, nearly 250 commercial exhibits and hundreds of educational and entertainment events.
