PA State Police issue New Year holiday crash and enforcement report

HARRISBURG – The New Year holiday crash and enforcement report has been compiled by the Pennsylvania State Police.

The number of crashes from December 30th through January 1st was 336. Five people were killed in those crashes, and 68 people were injured. State Police say that alcohol was a factor in 47 of this year’s reported crashes.

Troopers noted that they made more than 320 drug and alcohol DUI arrests, and issued over 3,800 speeding citations.
