HARRISBURG – Six different Clearfield and Elk County municipalities will receive up to $480,000 in grants to upgrade their sewer and stormwater treatment systems.
The Curwensville, Huston Township, and Kratzer Run authorities are the Clearfield County recipients; while the Fox Township, Jay Township, and Johnsonburg Borough authorities will receive funding in Elk County.
The grants are awarded by the Commonwealth Financing Authority. State Representative Mike Armanini said the grant award decisions are welcome news to local government officials as well as the people they serve. State Senator Cris Dush added that the grants will help offset costs so that ratepayers don’t have to bear the brunt of these expensive improvements.
