Harrisburg, PA – PennDOT has announced that all driver license and photo centers will be closed today Saturday, June 18th through Monday, June 20th in observance of Juneteenth National Freedom Day.
Juneteenth marks the anniversary of when Union soldiers reached Galveston, Texas, the furthest point in the South with news of the end of the Civil War.
