Q & A with Dan

GROWING UP: I'm a local boy, born in Clearfield and grew up there until age 12. My family moved to DuBois, where my teen "growing up" years were spent.  Other than four years in Tennessee for my college education, I have lived in the DuBois area all my life.

GETTING INTO RADIO: My radio experience began with sports reports at a college radio station in Chattanooga, TN during the fall of 1984. My local radio career started in the summer of 1985 at WDBA-FM in DuBois, PA.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: Host of the "Positive Alternative" music program, Morning Show host, Afternoon Drive host, Program/Music Director, and eventually, General Manager -- all at WDBA-FM, DuBois from 1988-2007.

FUNNY RADIO STORY: While doing live play-by-play for a high school football broadcast, an EMERGENCY bathroom situation became evident. Three minutes remained in the game, but I knew that was going to be two minutes too long to wait. I pointed to my partner who was there to keep stats and give "color analysis," and I quickly departed the broadcast booth. The poor guy was left alone to finish the game and post-game show. It was funny after everything was resolved.
