Perry Township, PA – A truck driver is being charged for driving while his license was suspended after his truck struck a bridge in Jefferson County.
The 38-year-old man from New York state had been driving along Valier Drive on Dec. 1 when he failed to notice the clearly posted “low clearance” sign on the railroad bridge.
He continued driving until his trailer’s roof hit the bottom of the bridge, causing the top of the trailer to separate from the rest of it.
He continued down the road until he pulled off at the Perry Township Fire Department.
When police investigated the case, they found the truck driver was operating the vehicle while his license was revoked or suspended.
