DuBois, PA – The ribbon was officially cut on Friday for the new access road on Industrial Drive, leading from the area behind Walmart to the area behind Sandy Plaza where Lowe’s and Planet Fitness are.
It will provide access to 200 acres of commercial property, which is ready to be developed and bring in more businesses to our community.
Sandy Township invested $1.1 million dollars into the access road project.
The road, which is about a half-mile long, could also act as a sort of shortcut or side road to divert some of the traffic off of the busy DuBois Avenue and Bee Line Highway.
The project had been discussed for at least a decade before this, but the plan started to take shape only a year or two ago.
