Clearfield, Elk, and Jefferson Counties, PA – The fall foliage is bright and beautiful in our part of Pennsylvania right now… in fact, it’s at its peak for the fall season!

If you want to do some “leaf peeping” as foliage enthusiasts call it, now is the perfect time to go for a fall drive and check out the scenery.

According the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, our area is at its best color of the season.

The pronounced cooldown that is expected to arrive this weekend should drive a vibrant bloom of additional color throughout the state.

Fall foliage enthusiasts should focus on the northern half of the commonwealth and higher elevations to find vivid fall splendor this upcoming week.

Because Pennsylvania supports 143 species of trees and many more shrubs, Pennsylvania has a longer and more varied fall foliage season than any other state in the nation — or anywhere in the world. That’s certainly something to be proud of!
