Boggs Township, PA – A Clearfield County man died from his injuries after attempting to jump a dirt bike.

27-year-old Nicholas Casher from Woodland had been at a strip mine area just off of Old Erie Pike in Boggs Township on Sunday afternoon, trying to do a jump on his dirt bike.

He crashed and sustained blunt force trauma to his head.

Casher was flown via medical helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital but died one day later from his injuries.

His funeral is planned for 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home in Clearfield.

This crash happened just days after another man had also died as the result of a dirt bike crash in Clearfield County. In that case, a 25-year-old Tyrone man died after losing control on a curve on his dirt bike in Morris Township on Friday.
