Clearfield County, PA – A Grampian man was been sentenced to prison for a fatal DUI crash that happened in 2019.

48-year-old Eric McCall was sentenced to 3 and a half years to up to 13 years in prison, a sentence that is close to the maximum number of years in jail possible for the crime.

The crash itself happened in April 2019 on Route 879 in Pike Township near Curwensville.

McCall had struck multiple trees while driving with more than double the legal blood-alcohol content.

His passenger, 41-year-old Christina Metzker, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators found McCall in the woods shortly afterwards and found that he had been the driver of the vehicle.
