DuBois, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced this past week that they had placed a radar-controlled speed display on Route 119 in Sandy Township, Clearfield County. The board currently faces northbound traffic between Sheetz and W&W Equipment.

The stated reason for the board is to not only remind drivers to obey the posted speed limit but to “aid in curbing speeding.”

The posted speed limit for this area is 45 miles per hour.

The board will remain at this location for approximately four weeks.

More information about speeding (and other types of aggressive driving) can be found at PennDOT’s highway safety website, www.PennDOT.gov/safety.
