Union Township, PA – A Connecticut man struck a bear on Interstate 80 last week, and although he wasn’t injured, he did damage his classic car.
State Police in DuBois say 80-year-old Wilhelm Joerman from Stamford, CT, was driving his 1957 Ford Del Rio near mile marker 75.8 on I-80 westbound in Union Township on July 7.
A bear entered the roadway, and Joerman struck the animal with the car’s front grill and bumper.
Joerman had not been wearing his seat belt, but thankfully he was not injured.
His vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
