North Mahoning Township, Indiana County, PA – A 1-year-old girl was reportedly kidnapped from her home in nearby Indiana County but found uninjured laying near the roadway about 1.5 miles from her home later.

On June 17 around 1:25 p.m., a family reported that their 1-year-old girl was missing from their home along Coolspring Road in North Mahoning Township, Indiana County.

The girl was located uninjured about 1.5 miles east of the address, laying in the roadway.

The father of the girl says he noticed a teal or blue vehicle drive past their house several times that day. The only details he was able to provide was the color and that it had two people in it, one of them a woman.

He says shortly after the last time he saw that vehicle drive by, he heard his daughter screaming.

The family was unable to locate her for about 45 minutes before she was found.

It’s unclear why the 1-year-old girl was left unattended before the crime.

State Police in Punxsutawney are listing it as a kidnapping or unlawful restraint. The investigation continues.
