DuBois, PA – Congratulations to our newest award winners!

The Small Business of the Year Award recipient this year is Merle Norman Boutique. The Community Cup Award this year goes to Stoltz Family Dealerships.

Usually this would have been announced at the annual DuBois Chamber Business Bash, but since it was postponed, Chamber director Jodi August came onto Morning Connection on Monday to reveal the big winners!

Congratulations to Merle Norman Boutique and to Stoltz Family Dealerships. It’s certainly well deserved.

Although Jodi herself wasn’t a part in the decision making process, she notes that multiple businesses were nominated for both awards and it was a incredibly difficult decision for the board to make.

The virtual event will be held hopefully mid-March to receive the award and recognition. The in-person indoor/outdoor event is planned for Lakeview Lodge on Saturday, July 10.

A message from the DuBois Chamber of Commerce:

The Greater DuBois Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce our 2020 Business Award recipients for Small Business of the Year and the Community Cup.

We extend our congratulations to Linda Crandall and her team at Merle Norman for being our 2020 Small Busines of the year award winner and to the Stoltz Family and their team at Stoltz Family Dealerships for the 2020 Community Cup Award.

Linda Crandall has been the Owner of Merle Norman Boutique in downtown DuBois since 1994 after purchasing the business from the Sheesley family who began in the 1970’s. Linda has grown the business and adapted to changes in the beauty industry over the years and has always given back to our community every chance she gets.

The Stoltz Family has owned and operated dealerships for 3 generations. Times have changed and so have their dealerships but one thing’s for certain, they have been a stable part of our community that continuously gives back.

These deserving businesses will receive their awards at a virtual Chamber event planned for mid-March. Although the pandemic has encouraged us to postpone our annual in-person Business Bash event, we have great hopes of hosting a “Celebrate Business” event at Lakeview Lodge on Saturday July 10th.

Our friends at Treasure Lake have also offered to provide outdoor entertainment at the gazebo in front of the lake later that evening. Our Chamber “events committee” is currently working on this in-person business event and will share more details at a later date.

The Greater DuBois Chamber believes in our efforts to create a strong business climate. For over 75 years, we continue to support “business helping business”. We are grateful for our membership and again offer our congratulations to Merle Norman and Stoltz Family Dealerships on our annual awards.
