DuBois, PA – Although originally Penn Highlands Healthcare was offering COVID-19 vaccines to just people ages 75 and older due to limited supply, they will begin offering vaccine scheduling to everyone who falls into the Phase 1A category starting next week.
If you are in the Phase 1A category, want the COVID-19 vaccine and haven’t been contacted by your healthcare physician yet, you can call the Penn Highlands vaccine hotline to schedule an appointment.

Penn Highlands was one of the first locations in our state to be able to offer COVID-19 vaccine doses. They’ve given about 23,000 first and second doses in our area.
They had been receiving about 1,500 doses per week, but hospital officials say they’ve started getting an even larger supply in recent weeks. It’s a hopeful sign, and they are planning on eventually holding larger vaccine clinics.
Although other providers in the state had mistakenly used up Modern vaccine doses that should have been held back as second doses, Penn Highlands officials say that upon hearing that news they immediately held back all of their first dose Moderna clinics in order to save it for second doses instead. They don’t foresee it being a problem.
