DuBois, PA – A church’s food distribution in DuBois gave hundreds of boxes filled with groceries to local people who needed it yesterday, but it unfortunately also caused some traffic backups.

Life Community Church near the DuBois Mall is giving away free boxes of food each Wednesday in February.

The 30-pound box of food contains things like milk, eggs, meat, cheese, fruits, and vegetables. Anyone is welcome to come!

It will be offered at the DuBois Mall parking lot near the movie theater each Wednesday in February, from 11 a.m. until all boxes are gone.

Yesterday was the first time the distribution happened. Last week’s distribution was cancelled due to weather.

Although hundreds of boxes were given to families who needed them, the high turnout also caused delays and traffic concerns. Hundreds of cars were lined up in the parking lot and caused issues at the intersection near PNC.

They’re hoping that the distribution will go more smoothly next week now that they have some practice.

James Goodman, the lead pastor of Life Community Church in DuBois, wants to say thank you to everyone who showed up to help or receive a box.
