Clearfield and Jefferson Counties, PA – Deer are more active as the seasons change as especially with hunting season here in Pennsylvania, so that also means more deer-related crashes.
Thankfully in the majority of the police reports we’re seeing in crashes with deer, people had either no injuries or just minor injuries, but they still of course had damage to their vehicles.
Be on the lookout for deer on the roadways, especially around dawn and dusk when they are more active.
We know deer move quickly and it’s not always possible to avoid striking one, but take some precautions like driving more slowly and looking at the sides of the roads to give yourself the best chance of avoiding hitting a deer.
