Johnstown, PA (AP) — Police say a demonstrator has been treated for injuries after he was hit with bird shot in an exchange of gunfire with a rural Pennsylvania man as a group marched from Milwaukee to Washington, D.C., to bring awareness to to the police killing of George Floyd.

State police said the Bedford County man reported a group in his business’ parking lot Monday night and later confronted them after he claimed they refused to leave.

Police say the man and members of the group then shot at each other and one activist was hit with bird shot from a shotgun.

The man was treated at a hospital and released.

Police said no arrests were made. A shotgun and semi-automatic pistol were recovered.

This shooting was in Bedford County (south of Altoona and Johnstown), and it was only between a demonstrator and a business owner. The police were not involved in the shooting.
