DuBois, PA – The Penn State DuBois alternative spring breakers traveled to Arizona Friday evening for their week of service at the Navajo Nation!

The students will spend a week on the Navajo Nation reservation property in Arizona. They will spend the time doing service projects, volunteering with the local families there, and learning about the Navajo culture.

Penn State DuBois goes to different locations each year, but Alternative Spring Break 2016 went to Navajo Nation as well.

For the first part of their journey this year, the Alternative Spring Break students got to the chance to tour National Monument Montezuma Castle and Slide Rock State Park on their way to the reservation. As night fell, they focused on reflections and setting their intentions on what they want to learn and accomplish by the end of the week.
