Reynoldsville, PA – One man has been arrested after a standoff in Reynoldsville on Sunday morning.
According to State Police in DuBois, it was around 3:15 a.m. Sunday when 44-year-old Steven James Shaffer threatened people with a firearm inside his home on Brown Street in Reynoldsville.
He had reportedly fired four rounds from a Smith and Wesson AR-15.
The victims disarmed Shaffer and were able to escape the house.
Police and other emergency responders blocked off the area and began talking with Shaffer.
It took until 11:20 a.m., 8 hours later, before Shaffer would finally surrender.
He was arrested and taken to jail on charges of possessing a firearm that he wasn’t allowed to have, discharging a firearm in an occupied structure, and recklessly endangering another person.
