DuBois, PA – Some local kids are making the season merry and bright for nursing home residents!
Confirmation students from St. Catherine, St. Michael, and St. Bernard of DuBois and Falls Creek went Christmas caroling and handed out small gifts of socks and tissues to the residents of Christ the King Manor.
Thank you to these local kids for brightening the spirits of our senior citizens!
Confirmation is one of the seven sacraments of the Catholic Church, usually done by Catechism students in high school. It is also one of the three sacraments of initiation into the Catholic Church, the other two being Baptism and Holy Communion.
Want to do your part in spreading some holiday cheer? Consider donating a new pair of socks for a local senior citizen with Socks for Seniors from Connect FM, sponsored by Christ the King Manor and H&R Block DuBois.
Warm the hearts and cover the cold feet of the elderly. You can drop off new socks at our studios at 12 West Long Avenue in Downtown DuBois, or at H&R Block in DuBois, until Dec. 21.
