DuBois, PA – Please take a moment on Veterans Day today to honor the people who serve the country we love so much.

In DuBois, one of the biggest celebrations will be at the DuBois Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 813 at 114 Fuller Street.

A special program has been planned featuring participation from VFW Commander Dave Gralla and American Legion Commander Mike White. Musical selections are also being presented by the DuBois Area Community Band under the direction of Dickson Tattersall.

The main speaker will be State Rep. Matt Gabler with special awards and citations handed out, a salute to the colors, a 21 gun salute and taps by the VFW Honor Guard are scheduled to take place as well. Lunch will also be provided by the Post 813 Auxiliary.

Connect FM’s own Brittany Madera will serve as the master of ceremonies when the event kicks off at 11 a.m. on Monday.

All are welcome to attend.

If you are unable to be there in person, Connect FM 96.7 and 107.9 will be carrying a live broadcast of the event. You can listen online at connectradio.fm. There will also be a Facebook live video of the event at the Connect FM Facebook page.

Take some time out of your day this Veterans Day and honor those who have given so much to preserve our freedoms.
