Brockway, PA – Banners of local veterans may be coming to Brockway thanks to efforts from the American Legion and the Legion Auxiliary.

The Brockway Borough Council heard from Dee Dee Carlini, president of the Legion Auxiliary Post 95.

The Legion has been working on bringing banners to Brockway and needed the council’s support. The banners would be hung on light posts in the borough.

The council voted unanimously to support the initiative. Council President Chris “Smoke” Benson called the project a great way to support the community’s veterans and urged residents to contact Carlini to help out by calling 814-265-2404.

The water line project in Brockway is nearing completion. The new line is connected and working, and crews are replacing the sidewalk. Weather has been a limiting factor.

Finally, the council announced that the 2020 budget is ready to be advertised. The council will vote on the budget during its final meeting of the year, December 5, at 7 p.m.
