Curwensville, PA – When someone in Curwensville fell down a steep embankment to the edge of the river, emergency crews had to pull off a daring rescue.
The unnamed person had fallen about 30 feet around 8 p.m. Sunday.
Rescue Hose and Ladder Company 8 along with EMS and police all responded.
They used a stokes basket to rescue to victim while still ensuring that the rescuers were safe on the embankment.
The patient was taken to the Curwensville High School, where crews established a landing zone so Life Flight could take the person to a trauma center.
There’s no word on the victim’s identity or their current condition.
