DuBois, PA – This Saturday, take a walk in the beautiful fall weather and learn the history of DuBois! The DuBois Area Historical Society presents their 12th Annual Spirit of DuBois Lantern Walk on Saturday, Oct. 12 from 5 until 7 p.m.
Tom Schott from the historical society says this year they’re celebrating the 100th anniversary of three historical events… the donation of land for the DuBois City Park, the renaming of Liberty Boulevard, and the chartering of the DuBois American Legion.
You’ll walk through the park and get to talk to character actors, representing the real historical figures from DuBois.
The first tour leaves this Saturday from the Parkside Community Center at 5 p.m., with additional walks every 15 minutes.
Make your reservations early! The 5 p.m. slots are already reserved. The Historical Society generally takes only about 20 people per walking tour time slot so that everyone can hear the performers.
$5 for adults, and $3 for students, with children sixth grade and younger free if accompanied by an adult.
