Brockway, PA – The Brockway School Board approved several trips and continued tutoring programs for the new school year.
During Tuesday’s meeting, the board approved 19 trips coming up. The trips included Ski Club trips to Holiday Valley, a history trip to Meadowcraft Rockshelter, an agricultural trip to Mike Starr Farm, a kindergarten walking field trip to Mengle Memorial Library, and several continuing education trips.
The board also continued the Classroom Success Program for grades 4-6 as well as the Title I After School Program.
Board member Robert Cherubini said that the after school programs are very good for the students.
The board also increased pay for after school sports events, such as ticket takers and clock operators.
Superintendent Jeff Vizza told the board that the new school year is off to a successful start, and he thanked the whole district for that success.
The school board will meet again October 8 at 7 p.m.
