Clearfield, PA – A tractor-trailer crashed into a house near Clearfield yesterday afternoon.

Just before 6 p.m., a tractor-trailer that seemed to be hauling eggs struck a brick house near Route 322 at the bottom of Rockton Mountain, on Race Street.

The homeowners were not at the house at the time.

The driver, who still remains unnamed, was rescued after more than an hour of being stuck inside the tractor-trailer’s cab.

He was taken to the hospital and reportedly later flown to a trauma center.

We’re expecting police to release more information about the cause of the crash soon.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time for an accident like this to happen in that area of Lawrence Township. In 2007, another tractor-trailer lost its brakes and struck three houses in the same location.
