DuBois, PA – The DuBois Relay for Life drew in hundreds of people on Saturday, raising their goal of $70,000 for the American Cancer Society to fund cancer research, education, advocacy, and service programs.

In the opening ceremony, doves were released in memory of Mary Lash, who was one of the longtime team leaders for the DuBois Relay for Life and recently passed away after her own battle with cancer.

Thank you to everyone who came out for the Relay for Life! Remember, you can continue to help by supporting the Relay fundraising events that happen all year long.

This cause is close to our hearts here at our radio station, as we have lost two members of our team to cancer over the years… Beth Walters and Gary Stormer.

This was the first time in several years that the DuBois Relay for Life had nice enough weather to actually light the luminarias in memory or in honor of people with cancer.

See the videos from this year’s event!

Listen to the interview with Judi Anthony, Gary Stormer’s sister. Gary passed away in 2011 from cancer. Now the family continues to be a big part of the DuBois Relay for Life.

Here are some of the photos from Relay for Life in previous years!
