Pennsylvania – If you’re hitting the farmer’s market, you’ll notice a lot of raspberries are in season this time of the year.
However, they’ll only stay good for a couple of days in your fridge.
Chantel Oyi from the USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service says you can make them last for months in the freezer… But they’ll look a little different once you thaw them.
To freeze the berries, lay them out on a single layer on a baking sheet in the freezer. Then transfer them into an airtight container in the freezer. They should stay good for up to 6 months.
However, once you thaw them, the berries will be softer. They will still work well in things like baked goods and smoothies.
