Boggs Township, PA – A suspected DUI caused a passenger in the other car to be ejected through the window recently in Clearfield County.
No names are being released yet, as the crash is still under investigation and one driver is suspected of driving under the influence.
According to State Police in Clearfield, it happened on Friday afternoon when the suspected DUI driver ran a stop sign at the intersection of Drane Highway and Old Erie Pike, in Boggs Township, Clearfield County.
The person’s vehicle crashed into another car that had two people in it.
The passenger in the second car was not wearing a seat belt. Police say that person was thrown through the passenger window.
Although the passenger was taken to UPMC Altoona, the person had just minor injuries and was later released.
The driver of the second vehicle was taken to Penn Highlands Clearfield with minor injuries and was also released shortly afterward.
The driver who caused the crash was taken to Penn Highlands Clearfield. The driver was later arrested for suspicion of DUI.
Troopers say the person will be charged, pending the results of the blood test.
