Clearfield, PA – PennDOT announced on Wednesday that work to repair a bridge in Burnside Township would start on Monday, July 8, including the closure of the bridge with an official detour in place.

The repairs will include removing the weight restrictions currently placed on it as well as improving the condition of the bridge from poor to good.

The bridge spans Beaver Run on Route 3004 (Sylvis Road) between Route 219 and Shepard Lane. While the bridge is closed, traffic will be detoured onto Route 219, Route 3014 (Harmony Road), and Route 3001 (Ridge Road/Bethlehem Hill Road). If motorists familiar with the area wish to choose an alternate route, they are free to do so.

Work will begin on July 8 and is expected to be completed by August 17 but the bridge could re-open earlier if work progress allows. All work will be weather dependent.
