Corsica, PA – A Jefferson County home caught fire early Wednesday morning, killing several pets that were inside.

Fire crews were called out to the home along Main Street in Corsica around 1:14 a.m. Wednesday.

The two occupants, both 52-year-old women, were able to escape without injury, as were four dogs. However, several other pets died as a result of the fire.

The cause remains undetermined, and the investigation continues.

Two vehicles and a neighboring home were also damaged.

The estimated loss will exceed $140,000.
