DuBois, PA – The lampposts in DuBois will soon showcase the faces and names of those who have served our community and our country.

The Downtown DuBois Revitalization Group is installing Hometown Heroes banners, which feature military members or first responders, such as police, firefighters, and EMS.

There’s a special ceremony in the DuBois City Park this Sunday at 2 p.m. to unveil the banners for the first time. They’ll have speakers and you will be able to see you Personalized Banners before they are hung up around town.

The ceremony itself should take an hour or so and then we have time to mingle and get photos. You will also be able to receive and take home your individual banners if you purchased them.

Feel free to bring as many people as you wish to attend. This is an outside event, so please plan accordingly. They also ask you to bring Lawn chairs if you wish. There are some bleacher seats available. If it rains, the ceremony will be in the back room at the American Legion.

Listen to the interview (recorded while DDRG was taking applications for the banners) with Downtown DuBois director Dan Bowman.
