Cooksburg, PA – Pebbles, possibly the oldest deer in Pennsylvania, is celebrating her 20th birthday this Saturday, and you’re invited!

Pebbles, a piebald whitetail born in June of 1999, was purchased as a fawn by Double Diamond Deer Ranch in Cooksburg.

Rusty Snyder, co-owner of the ranch, says deer are very social animals and they definitely know that Pebbles is somebody worth celebrating.

Very few deer live more than 5 years in the wild, but some of the oldest deer in captivity around the country have lived from 21 to 25 years old.

Double Diamond Deer Ranch in Cooksburg is celebrating Pebbles’ birthday this Saturday, with games and activities all day long and a special treat to feed Pebbles at 6 p.m.

If you can’t make it this Saturday, the ranch is open seven days a week, from 10 a.m. to dusk every day until Halloween.
