Clearfield County, PA – An Iowa man is accused of leading police on a high-speed chase for 30 miles on Interstate 80.

State Police in Clearfield attempted to pull over 20-year-old Ching Yeung of Cedar Rapids on Monday near mile marker 121 in Bradford Township after several traffic violations.

However, Yeung reportedly refused to stop and sped away.

During the chase, he struck another motorist’s vehicle and a state police patrol vehicle.

This continued for about 30 miles until the Rockview-based state troopers were able to deploy spike strips and disable the car. The chase ended near mile marker 151 in Centre County.

Yeung faces felony charges of aggravated assault and fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, plus numerous misdemeanors and traffic summaries.

Unable to post $50,000 bail, he remains in the Clearfield County Jail, awaiting his preliminary hearing on June 19.
