Punxsutawney, PA – A 34-year-old female and a 29-year-old male are facing charges after a crash that occurred near the Punxsutawney Save-A-Lot on Friday night.

Punxsutawney Borough and State Police were called to the scene and begin searching for a man wearing a white shirt and a long beard that had fled the crash on foot.

He was spotted getting into the passenger seat of a blue Chevrolet Blazer that was stopped on North Findley Street without it hazard lights on.

Due to this traffic violation, the police questioned the man and determined that he was the person of interest in the earlier crash.

During questioning of the female driver, she appeared under the influence and was issued a field sobriety test. She was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI as well as having capsules with an unknown white powder found in her purse.

The investigation is ongoing.
