Brookville, PA – Brookville Borough will have to rebid its paving projects this summer.

Last night, council opened two bids. The low bid of $210,000 was nearly $75,000 higher than budgeted.  Council rejected the bids and will now revise its original paving plan and send out for bids again. Roads that were targeted this year included Water Plant Road, Allenbaugh Run, and River, Bortz and Lewis alleys.

Council approved the low bid of $114,000 for a new boiler system at the borough building. The award is pending approval of the bid meeting specifications.

Council also accepted a $50,000 five-year loan at 2% interest for the purchase of a new borough dump truck.
