Sandy Township, PA – Over the past few days, police in Sandy Township have had to deal with multiple cases of harassment.

May 10, 2019

A 49-year-old woman reported being harassed by her son’s 30-year-old former girlfriend. Officers handled the situation without incident.

A 49-year-old man reported that while he was at the Sandy Club his ex-wife’s 52-year-old boyfriend threatened and harassed him. The man followed him when he left, but then went a different direction.

May 11, 2019

A 57-year-old man reported that he got into a physical fight with his girlfriend’s 24-year-old son after he disrespected his mother. Afterwards the son made threats toward the man. The 24-year-old then called the residence and threatened to go to their house and shoot the 57-year-old.

A 55-year-old Treasure Lake woman reported that while at the Box Car Brewery someone took her purse out her vehicle. The suspect then tried to use her ATM card to withdraw funds from her account. Investigation continues.

A 79-year-old DuBois man reported that while he was on S. Highland Street, approaching No. 2 Shaft Road, a grey SUV pulled out and struck his vehicle, causing it to spin around, then the SUV hit his vehicle again, before fleeing the scene. No injuries and moderate damage reported.

May 12, 2019

A 15-year-old Treasure Lake girl reported that her 35-year-old step mother and 43-year-old father were fighting and her step mom was hitting her dad, and she heard her threaten to shoot her dad. The 35-year-old was uncooperative with police, and was eventually arrested and transported to Penn Highlands, when she said she felt she needed checked. She was later transported to CCJ and arraigned.
