Brookville, PA – After a standoff blocked off streets in Brookville from Sunday afternoon until Monday morning, police say the situation was handled in the best way possible and that it’s all resolved.
49-year-old Wayne Kunselman of Brookville is accused of threatening another person on Sunday.
Although that victim was able to escape, Kunselman then barricaded himself inside of house and threatened to harm himself. After several hours, police were able to take him into custody without incident.
Kunselman faces charges of terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person, harassment, and criminal trespass. He is awaiting his preliminary hearing.
Brookville Police would also like to thank everyone who was driving through the area at the time for being so patient and following the detour. The standoff affected parts of Route 219 and 322, which meant that most commuters had to take an alternate route.
