DuBois, PA – Update: Volunteers from our local DuBois Rotary Club have postponed their cleanup of Rumbarger Cemetery until next Tuesday and Wednesday, May 21 and 22.

The group decided to focus on cleaning up the cemetery last year, and they plan on continuing the project about once every season. The process takes about three hours and includes mowing the grass, trimming the hedges, picking up any litter, and generally keeping the place looking nice.

Jodi August, the former Rotary president, says the chose to focus on Rumbarger Cemetery in part because it is easily visible from one of the most trafficked roadways. It also sits next to Penn Highlands DuBois, one of the area’s most prominent employers.

They encourage other businesses and organizations to get involved in this project or other projects.
