Emporium, PA – A woman who originally called police in Emporium to report that she thought someone was remotely controlling her car was later arrested on DUI charges.
The unnamed 38-year-old Emporium woman requested police on Friday afternoon to come and check out her car, which she said she suspected had a device attached to it.
She said she thought the device could allow someone to talk to her through the vehicle’s speakers, control the wipers and windows, and turn the engine on and off.
The officer didn’t find any device, but they did suspect that the woman was under the influence of a controlled substance. She was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI.
