Fox Township, PA – A vehicle caught fire early Friday morning in Elk County.

Fire crews were called out to Laurel Lane in Fox Township around 1:15 a.m. Friday for a 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac truck that had caught fire.

By the time crews arrived, the flames had already fully engulfed the truck.

Examination of the vehicle showed evidence that the fire started in the engine compartment area. It sustained major fire and heat damage.

At this time, the investigation is still classified as an undetermined fire.

The vehicle was owned by 67-year-old David Stahle Sr. from Kersey.

No one was injured, but the vehicle was a complete loss, estimated at $5,000.
